Film Fanaddict News : Raro Video and Kino Lorber Release Monte Hellman's Iguana on Blu-ray and DVD

Open in new windowRaro Video and Kino Lorber are proud to announce the release of IGUANA, the one-of-a-kind adventure film from Monte Hellman (Two-Lane Blacktop, Road to Nowhere). Shot in Lanzarote in the Canary Islands, IGUANA stars Everett McGill (Quest for Fire, Twin Peaks) as a disfigured sailor who, after being outcast by his shipmates, secludes himself to a deserted island with a vengeful spite toward mankind. Monte Hellman was awarded the Filmcritica "Bastone Bianco" Award - Special Mention - at the Venice Film Festival for this film.

IGUANA will arrive on Blu-ray (SRP: $29.95) and DVD (SRP: $24.95) October 7th in a digitally restored and remastered transfer with new color correction by cinematographer Josep M. Civit and approved by the director.

It comes packed with bonus features including an interview with Monte Hellman, an illustrated booklet with a critical analysis on the creation of the film by Chris Alexander (Fangoria), the original English trailer, and new improved English subtitle translation.
