Inspired by real experiences of girls who had responded to ads that seemed legitimate, but ended up being nothing more than a pervert’s scam, “Kill the Scream Queen” follows a movie maker who posts ads on the internet for girls to be in a “snuff” film. It’s a great opportunity for girls who have not appeared in any movies yet. This is going straight to DVD and the “director” promises that the performances are going to be legendary. One by one, the girls who audition do not act on their suspicions. Their desire to get a big break in the industry makes them overlook the obvious signs that something is very wrong.

ON-Q Productions has announced that the premiere episode of “EXTREME SCREAM” will finally air this Thursday, April 24 on the VERSUS Network. The show will air every Thursday night (technically Friday morning) at 3am EST, 2am CST, 1am MST and 12 midnight PST.

“EXTREME SCREAM” is a new 30-minute TV show that shines the spotlight on independently produced horror films. The show was originally scheduled to air on Superstation WGN. “We spent months working with the Programming Department at WGN to produce a horror-based show that is true to the genre, yet still appropriate for the viewing audience” said Leon Quenneville, owner of ON-Q and host of “EXTREME SCREAM”. “Our editors tried their best to show just enough of the monsters, killers, blood, sex and violence to entertain the audience while remaining within the FCC and network guidelines. But you can only edit so much, and then you lose the appeal of the whole horror-movie magic.”

Darrin Ramage is the President of Brain Damage Films, the primary sponsor of the EXTREME SCREAM TV show. “I can understand the need to keep the sex and violence to an acceptable level for network television,” he said, “but my number one priority is the loyalty and respect from the GOREHOUNDS. Tempe Entertainment today announced a new line of soundtrack music releases to be issued as limited-edition CDs as well as downloadable MP3 or AAC files available in the biggest e-stores worldwide. The debut title is none other than THE DEAD NEXT DOOR Original Motion Picture Soundtrack, containing the complete score for writer/director J.R. Bookwalter's 1990 cult classic, available for the first time ever.

"These releases are more for fun than anything else," explains Bookwalter, who wrote and performed his own DEAD NEXT DOOR score 19 years ago. "I had dabbled with some homegrown CD soundtracks over the years which would get sold on our website or at conventions, and folks usually got a kick out of them. With the music industry having moved so much into downloads, it seemed like the right time to dig out these old scores, clean 'em up and have some fun with them."

Using the TempeSound imprint, Bookwalter will issue limited edition copies of the soundtracks on CD, at first available exclusively at the Tempe website as well as his "preferred" e-tailers, Amazon.com and DeepDiscount.com. By the end of May, THE DEAD NEXT DOOR will also be available via download at iTunes stores worldwide, Amazon MP3, eMusic, Napster, Rhapsody, GroupieTunes and LaLa.

"Strictly for fans of bad synth music!" laughs Bookwalter when modestly describing his own work. "Those were good times, but there's a valid reason I hung up my keyboards after scoring only 4 features... John Williams they ain't!"

SCHOOLGIRL REPORT #3: "WHAT PARENTS FIND UNTHINKABLE"—a DVD release from Impulse Pictures, a sub-label distributed through Synapse Films—originally scheduled for general release on February 26th, will now be exclusively distributed by Xploited Cinema, an online DVD retailer specializing in import, cult and genre titles.

This late development is due to a decision by the North American distributor of Synapse and Impulse DVDs to drop the title due to its controversial content. Because of an error made in the release of the first SCHOOLGIRL REPORT DVD—Impulse Pictures was mistakenly given an edited master by the overseas licensor for the film—our technicians made sure to request fully uncut masters of all the remaining titles in the popular series. The mastering and replication of SGR#3 had already been completed when the news about SGR#1 was brought to our attention, and requesting, then replacing the existing master with a fully uncut one was done at great expense. But since pleasing the fans is of paramount importance to both Synapse and Impulse, we were happy to put in the effort and expense, in order to bring audiences the longest, most complete, and fully uncut version of SCHOOLGIRL REPORT #3 presented on DVD anywhere in the world.

Soon Washington, DC psychiatrist Carol Bennell (Nicole Kidman) and her friend, Dr. Ben Driscoll (Daniel Craig), learn the shocking truth about the growing extraterrestrial epidemic: it attacks its victims while they sleep, leaving them physically unchanged but strangely unfeeling and inhuman. As the infection spreads, more and more people are altered and it becomes impossible to know who can be trusted. EXTREME SCREAM will be a weekly, 30-minute TV show featuring independent Horror movies, shorts, trailers and clips. The show will also include movie reviews, previews, industry news and interviews with special guests including members of the cast and crew from select films.

EXTREME SCREAM will be produced by ON-Q Productions and hosted by Leon Q, a veteran of the late night airwaves. Leon has hosted several past series which have enjoyed extensive runs on late night TV, such as THUMP TV on WGN, CLUB TV USA and PARTY TYME KARAOKE which both aired on E! Entertainment.

Rounding out the cast, Darrin Ramage, President of Brain Damage Films,will appear in a weekly segment on the show to discuss the latest movie releases from Brain Damage Films. EXTREME SCREAM has negotiated to have members of DYSFUNCTIONAL DOLLS who are on hand each episode to serve as spokes models, eye-candy and set décor. EXTREME SCREAM is taped on location at THE SETS in Tempe, Arizona, and may occasionally take the show on the road for special episodes and/or special events.
