Lady Reed has created a form of art that is projecting a humorous type of philosophy, yet at the same time doing her own thing, with an unquestionable amount of hard-hitting facts, which will undoubtedly be a heavy smash throughout the record world. Out of all the comedy LP's I've been exposed to, male and female artists alike, I feel justified in terming this great heavy hard-rock comedy. This being her first album, Queen Bee Talks, she raps heavy on such groovy cuts as "International United Whores Union," one for which she gets down-to-earth arrangement assistance from a heavy young vocalist, Ben Taylor, who did an equally heavy thing on his hit single, "One More Chance," on the Kent label. Then Lady Reed goes on to blow a lot of male egos when she raps on "Two-Timing Man," then beautifully backs it up with another heavy, "My Day Has Arrived." Then she once again goes into her queen's philosophy bag and pulls out more heavies and practically runs Rudy Ray Moore's creation, Pimpin' Sam, back to Chittling Switch, Georgia. Or had the Queen spoken earlier, he might never have left. And I might say in a sense, this LP may prove to be a lot of headaches to so-called pimps, players, and whomever or whatever one might consider themselves, using and abusing the weaker or less alert females of various bags. Nancy (Lady) Reed, a stardom-bound find, was discovered by Rudy Ray Moore, a master in tomorrow's comedy today for the Now Generation, and Theadore Toney, two of the nation's truly great comedy producers, and because this LP is a monster, the selections on these tracks, including the real heavy of them all, "Whore's Union," shall determine this statement. Few words and many words couldn't express the feeling that Lady Reed put into doing this art form of hard-hitting humor, so once again, I will call it as I see it, very damn real. So, brothers and sisters, soul or no soul, get down, go up, or stay where you are, but open up this cover and go trippin' with the Queen. From the producers, "Peace." And keep on pushing. From me, always and forever, express yourself. Chow, Baby Album Tracks: Side One: Side Two:
