She’s Crushed is a 2010 horror film directed by Patrick Johnson. The movie was screened at The ShockerFest International Film Festival and The Spooky Film Festival. Similar to themes in Fatal Attraction, She’s Crushed depicts the twisted games of love, torture, and death which lay in the hands of Tara, the disturbed intriguing girl next door. The film will be released February 2010 on DVD in the United States by Maverick Entertainment Group.

Synopsis:
Mr. and Mrs. Shizuma and their niece Yasuko make their way through the ruins of Hiroshima, devastated by the atomic bomb. Director John McNaughton’s fact-based drama became instantly notorious upon its premiere at the 1986 Chicago Film Festival. Its story of a conscienceless murderer was so grimly and matter-of-factly presented that it received an NC-17 rating (later surrendered) upon its commercial release in 1990.

Michael Rooker (“The Bone Collector,” “The Replacement Killers”) gives a chilling performance as Henry, a drifter who leads an ex-jail mate on a killing spree in Chicago, choosing victims at random and varying the execution method to avoid detection. Critic Roger Ebert called the film “an unforgettable portrait of the pathology of a man for whom killing is not a crime but simply a way of passing time and relieving boredom.” Two decades later, it has lost none of its power to horrify.

Director McNaughton (“Wild Things”) provides running commentary on the Blu-ray disc, which also includes deleted scenes and outtakes, documentaries about the making of the film and about the real Henry Lee Lucas, storyboards, trailers and a stills gallery.

Over the last 20+ years I have cultivated a bit of an "elitist" attitude. I hate to admit it, but I think that I've seen, heard, done AND know it all. When it comes to movies there's been virtually nothing of recent memory that has gotten me excited and the few things that did, always left me with disappointment. I had pretty much just given up.

Yet here comes BLACK DEVIL DOLL, produced and written by Shawn Lewis of www.Rottencotton.com and directed by his brother Jonathan. The story is simple; a dumb big breasted white girl accidentally resurrects a recently executed black militant/murderer/rapist in the form of a foul-mouthed puppet. They share great times together, fall in love, experience montage sequences and enjoy all that life has to offer a woman and a puppet. Yet, the doll grows restless and needs more white women to satisfy his devilish and murderous cravings.

BLACK DEVIL DOLL is the most vile and offensive film I have seen in quite some time and also the most entertaining. It virtually boils over with an endless stream of visual and verbal jokes that will surely cross the line with a great deal of viewers. It’s a film that laughingly goes for the throat and just when you think you are safe, it kicks you in the nuts, then twists!

WWII Epic From Writer/Director of Original INGLORIOUS BASTARDS Includes Tarantino Bonus Features

Severin Films announced the first-ever DVD/Blu-ray release of the WWII epic EAGLES OVER LONDON. The 1970 hit was the international breakthrough film by Italian action master Enzo Castellari, best known as the writer/director of the original INGLORIOUS BASTARDS which will also be released on DVD and Blu-ray by Severin on July 28th.

Join us at the New Beverly Cinema on Friday, July 10th, and Saturday, July 11th, as the Grindhouse Film Festival pays tribute to exploitation film legend and good friend Don Edmonds, who passed away at age 73 on May 30th. We'll be celebrating his life and career, a career that took him from guest appearances on shows like "The Munsters" and "Green Acres" to co-starring roles in GIDGET GOES HAWAIIAN and BEACH BALL before he turned to directing in the 1970's with films like TENDER LOVING CARE, WILD HONEY, TERROR ON TOUR and the first two ILSA films. In addition to the huge impact he had on the exploitation film world, Don also worked as a producer on hit films like SHORT CIRCUIT, 8 MILLION WAYS TO DIE and TRUE ROMANCE.

We'll be starting the event with a screening of his infamous 1975 grindhouse hit ILSA, SHE WOLF OF THE SS. The best and most well-known of the "Naziploitation" genre, this over-the-top sleazefest made star Dyanne Thorne a cult icon and helped kick-start a series of similarly themed films that exploded out of Italy in the late-70's. We'll be following this with Edmond's 1976 sequel ILSA, HAREM KEEPER OF THE OIL SHEIKS, which transports our favorite tough Teutonic goddess to the mideast kingdom of Sheik El Sharif for a more campy but still incredibly sleazy experience. These two legendary films have been unseen in Los Angeles theaters for two decades, so don't miss this rare chance to watch original 35mm prints projected on the big screen with our usual crowd of maniacs.
